El edificio ya no solo funciona como iglesia, sino como Alojamiento Multifuncional (MFA).
Desde hace mucho tiempo existía una capilla en Sprundel.
En 1351 se mencionó por primera vez una parroquia.
La capilla fue elevada a iglesia parroquial, pero alrededor de 1500 se construyó una nueva iglesia.
Fue destruida por acciones bélicas en 1583 y se terminó de nuevo en 1620.
Esta iglesia pasó a manos de los reformados en 1648, y en 1796 fue devuelta a los católicos.
Después de la devolución, la iglesia fue restaurada en 1803 y 1875.
La antigua iglesia fue demolida en 1922, tras lo cual se construyó la iglesia actual.
