Le bâtiment ne sert plus uniquement d'église, mais de Centre Multiservices (MFA).
Il y avait depuis longtemps une chapelle à Sprundel.
En 1351, une paroisse fut mentionnée pour la première fois.
La chapelle fut érigée en église paroissiale, mais vers 1500, une nouvelle église fut construite.
Elle fut détruite par des actions de guerre en 1583 et fut remise en état en 1620.
Cette église est passée en 1648 aux réformés, et en 1796, elle a été restituée aux catholiques.
Après la restitution, l'église a été restaurée en 1803 et 1875.
L'ancienne église a été démolie en 1922, après quoi l'église actuelle a été construite.
