Schouwerzijl es una aldea en el municipio de Het Hogeland en la provincia de Groninga, Países Bajos. En 2021, la aldea contaba con 95 habitantes, según el CBS. La aldea tiene un muelle para recreantes en el Reitdiep. La aldea lleva el nombre del zijl en el Kromme Raken y del cercano wierde Schouwen. Alrededor de la esclusa se desarrolló una aldea, mientras que en el wierde que da nombre a la aldea solo queda una granja. Esta granja se llama tradicionalmente Vledderbosch; originalmente aquí se encontraba un anteproyecto del Oldeklooster en Kloosterburen.
