El Lage Raam es un arroyo ecológico de tierras bajas que fluye desde Peel hacia la estación de bombeo Van Sasse. A través de esta estación de bombeo, el agua fluye hacia el río Mosa. Aproximadamente seis kilómetros antes de la desembocadura, el Lage Raam se une al Peelkanaal para, unos cientos de metros más adelante, incorporar también el Biestgraaf. Desde aquí hasta la desembocadura, el río se llama: Graafse Raam. En Escharen también se incorpora el Hoge Raam y en Grave el Hertogswetering, tras lo cual el agua es conocida como Nieuwe Raammond.
