El faro en Maasvlakte, oficialmente llamado Kustlicht Maasvlakte, fue diseñado por W. Colenbrander y construido en 1974. La torre tiene una altura de 62 metros, lo que la convierte en el faro más alto de los Países Bajos. Según la Asociación de Faros de los Países Bajos, también es el último faro construido en los Países Bajos. La torre, situada en el lado oeste de Maasvlakte, marcó la entrada al Nieuwe Waterweg y al área adyacente de Europoort. Con la llegada de esta torre, se desactivó la función de los dos faros en Hoek van Holland. La luz se extinguió el 8 de octubre de 2008. Hasta el 18 de octubre de 2018, la torre siguió en uso como torre de radar y en 2019 se retiró la instalación de radar. Debido a la construcción del Segundo Maasvlakte, el faro ya no está directamente en la costa.
