El Mastbos se encuentra al sur de Breda, en el límite de la ciudad, más allá de la A16, cerca del barrio Ruitersbos en Breda Sur. Es el bosque más conocido y concurrido de Breda y tiene gran fama a nivel nacional. Su nombre proviene de los numerosos pinos de alepo que anteriormente se llamaban 'árboles de mast'. De ellos se fabricaban, entre otras cosas, mástiles de barcos.
