Cada vez más agricultores dejan su negocio. A veces, un agricultor da el paso de utilizar los campos y praderas liberados para el desarrollo de una nueva finca. Todo tipo de ayudas financieras hacen que este cambio sea atractivo para los agricultores. Sin embargo, se deben cumplir ciertas condiciones para poder acceder a estas ayudas. La finca Kraaiveld es un proyecto de este tipo y tiene 73 hectáreas. Se plantará bosque caducifolio y pradera rica en flores, así como varias avenidas. De las 13 viviendas que se construirán, 8 estarán en una isla. El proyecto para iniciar una granja de atención no tuvo éxito, pero se está trabajando en un relanzamiento.
