El Gaasp es un pequeño río entre Driemond y Diemen. El Gaasp conecta el Gein con el Diem, y fluye al oeste del canal Ámsterdam-Rijn.
El Gaasp ahora prácticamente ya no fluye. Originalmente era parte del gran pantano que era Holanda y el agua de lluvia del Gein fluía a través del Gaasp hacia el Diem y luego hacia el IJsselmeer. Más tarde se cavó el Weespertrekvaart para tener una conexión entre el Gaasp y el Amstel.
