La Gaasp est un ruisseau entre Driemond et Diemen. La Gaasp relie le Gein à la Diem et coule à l'ouest du canal Amsterdam-Rijn.
La Gaasp ne coule presque plus maintenant. À l'origine, c'était une partie du grand marais qu'était la Hollande et l'eau de pluie du Gein s'écoulait via la Gaasp dans la Diem puis dans l'IJsselmeer. Plus tard, le canal de Weesper a été creusé pour établir une connexion entre la Gaasp et l'Amstel à l'intérieur des digues.
