Fort Bath
El 18 de octubre de 1785, el General Dumoulin recibió la orden del Consejo de Estado de buscar un lugar adecuado para un fuerte. A principios de 1786, presentó el plan de construirlo en la Batse Kaaij. Después de realizar los trabajos de terreno, en 1787 comenzaron las obras de los edificios militares, como un polvorín, casamatas y cuarteles. Estos eran lo suficientemente grandes como para albergar una guarnición de 300 militares. El fuerte tuvo dos tareas importantes, a saber, la vigilancia o restricción del tráfico marítimo hacia y desde Amberes y la protección del este de Zuid-Beveland.
Kazernestraat, Schansweg y Arsenaalstraat son referencias al Fort Bath.
