Fort Hedikhuizen cerca del pueblo de Hedikhuizen en el municipio de Heusden, fue construido en 1862. Formó parte de la Línea de Agua del Sur y se utilizó para proteger la compuerta de inundación. La compuerta permitía que el agua del Mosa fluyera de manera controlada hacia el interior de las dikes, lo que permitía inundar una gran área para proteger la fortaleza de Heusden contra un ataque.
