La Heide de Vrachelse es una de las pocas parcelas de bosque al norte de Breda. La zona es propiedad de Defensa y todavía es utilizada, aunque de manera limitada, por nuestro ejército. Además de las huellas de uso militar, se pueden ver todavía algunos trozos de arena móvil y brezo. El suelo es muy pobre y, por lo tanto, el valor natural no es muy grande. Para controlar la arena móvil, se plantaron muchas coníferas alrededor de 1900.
