Es un antiguo brazo del Mosa que, en paralelo al Mosa pero al oeste de este, históricamente drenaba el agua excedente del Mosa. Entre 1993 y 1995 hubo altos niveles de agua y este brazo del Mosa causó inundaciones. En 1995, este brazo fue cerrado con diques. Sin embargo, esto sobrecargó nuevamente el lecho principal del Mosa en caso de crecidas.
