À l'angle de la "Sand hill" ou "Zandberg" et du "Nederpolder", se trouve une maison avec une longue histoire.
Au début du 14ème siècle, c'était une auberge, appelée le "Pelicaen". Au 16ème siècle, elle est devenue un bâtiment aristocratique dans le style renaissance flamande.
Au cours du 18ème siècle, on supposait que Napoléon viendrait et séjournerait dans cette maison. Par conséquent, de nombreuses rénovations ont eu lieu, mais Napoléon Bonaparte n'est jamais venu.
Au 19ème siècle, elle est devenue un couvent après un don à un cloître.
Lors des rénovations du 20ème siècle, beaucoup de choses ont mal tourné. Ils ont dépouillé les pignons rococo et les ont remplacés par des pignons de style renaissance.
