Vinkt est une section de la ville belge de Deinze située en Région flamande dans la province de Flandre-Orientale.Elle fut le théâtre du massacre de Vinkt le 27 mai 1940, provoqué par les combats de l'armée belge contre l'armée allemande à la bataille de la Lys au cours de laquelle la résistance acharnée des Chasseurs ardennais infligeant de si lourdes pertes au 225e RI de l'armée allemande que des soldats de celui-ci, en proie au complexe du franc-tireur, massacrèrent la population civile.
