Le château a été construit dans la première moitié du 15ème siècle par Geldolf I van der Gracht. La tour est un donjon médiéval typique. La remise est d’une date ultérieure. La chapelle Sainte-Godelieve à la porte du château date d’avant 1788. Au cours des fouilles de 1984, le monticule central d’un bâtiment antérieur a été trouvé. Le château est une propriété privée et n’est pas accessible aux touristes.
