Jusqu’en 1798, la chapelle du château de Boelare a fonctionné comme une église paroissiale, plus tard Nederboelare a dépendu de Grammont pour la pratique religieuse. Une église paroissiale privée a été consacrée le 17 septembre 1972. Il s’agit d’une église-halle à toit plat avec une tour autoportante à trois côtés conçue par les architectes E. Leus, P. Gavel (Gand) et R. Borremans (Grammont), des détails appliqués à une pierre commémorative dans la salle. L’église est inscrite au patrimoine architectural depuis le 14-09-2009.
