L’entreprise de filature et de retordage de coton La Nouvelle Orléans se caractérise par des colonnes en fonte, un squelette d’acier et d’énormes fenêtres. En haut de la tour d’escaliers carrée se trouve un réservoir d’eau pour le dispositif d’extinction d’incendie. Après une reprise par l’UCO, l’usine restera active jusqu’en 1988. Le terrain appartient aujourd’hui à la Ville de Gand et attend d’être réaffecté.
