"L'actuelle roselière du Parc des Sources s'est progressivement constituée là où autrefois pâturaient les chevaux de la famille Solvay. A l’époque, l'endroit, naturellement marécageux, fut drainé pour que puisse se maintenir une prairie et même un manège. Lorsque toute activité humaine cessa, l’eau fit son retour, favorisant l’apparition d’une végétation typique des milieux humides. En 1997, Bruxelles Environnement signa une convention avec la Commune de Woluwe-Saint-Lambert pour la gestion de la roselière qui, depuis 1994 bénéficie avec le reste du Parc des Sources, d’un statut de réserve naturelle."
