La commune a un jardin collectif écologique avec 44 jardins à Hemelrijk, en face des anciens bâtiments de quarantaine. Avec ce projet, nous souhaitons offrir aux habitants qui n'ont pas de jardin ou seulement un petit jardin la possibilité de cultiver leurs propres légumes. Cela encourage un mode de vie plus sain et favorise des contacts sociaux agréables.
En jardinant écologiquement, vous prenez la nature comme exemple et veillez à avoir la plus grande biodiversité possible. Ainsi, vous n'utilisez ni engrais chimiques ni pesticides, mais vous appliquez la rotation des cultures pour attirer le moins possible d'organismes nuisibles. Vous pouvez visiter le jardin lors des journées portes ouvertes en collaboration avec Velt les 3 et 4 juin de 9h30 à 18h00.
