Il comune ha un orto ecologico con 44 giardini a Hemelrijk di fronte ai precedenti stalle di quarantena. Con questo progetto vogliamo offrire ai residenti che non hanno un proprio giardino o ne hanno solo uno piccolo la possibilità di coltivare le proprie verdure. Questo infatti porta a uno stile di vita più sano e a piacevoli contatti sociali.
Quando si fa giardinaggio ecologico, si prende la natura come esempio e si cerca di mantenere la massima biodiversità possibile. Così non si utilizzano fertilizzanti chimici o pesticidi, ma si applicano rotazioni colturali per attirare il minor numero possibile di organismi nocivi. Puoi visitare il giardino durante le giornate del giardino aperte in collaborazione con Velt il 3 e 4 giugno dalle 9:30 alle 18:00.
