À Limbourg, vous pouviez déjà faire du vélo entre les arbres, l'eau et la bruyère, et après l'été, un itinéraire cyclable a également été ouvert dans le Parc National de Hoge Kempen entre les terrils de mine. À la frontière entre Eisden et Lanklaar, un ponton de 380 mètres a été construit au-dessus du lac entre deux terrils. Burolandschap a créé le design du pont, tandis que le bureau d'ingénierie Tractebel a réalisé 28 éléments de ponton flottants de 13 mètres chacun. Au-dessus, un pont en acier en forme de S élégante a été installé.
