Hill 60 est un site authentique de la Première Guerre mondiale. La colline artificielle datant de 1850 se trouvait à environ 60 mètres d'altitude. Pendant la période de 14-18, des combats meurtriers ont eu lieu ici entre les Allemands et les Alliés, avec un succès variable. Les deux camps ont commencé à creuser des tunnels sous la colline à partir de 1915, où des mines ont été placées pour exploser. L'explosion des mines de profondeur le 7 juin 1917 a façonné le paysage actuel de Hill 60. De nombreux soldats reposent encore sous cette colline.
