Le parc national Hoge Kempen offre les plus grands paysages forestiers et de bruyère en Flandre. Une fois de plus, tu marches ici une petite journée (15 km) sans rencontrer une seule maison et à 85 % sur du sable. Prends donc un peu de provisions avec toi. En route, tu auras notamment une vue magnifique sur une carrière qui est en partie devenue une réserve naturelle, sur la légendaire bruyère de Mechelen et sur la route du charbon qui a transporté l'or noir vers le canal Albert pendant des décennies. Parfois, on se sent comme dans les Ardennes.
Tu peux commencer à la gare ancienne d'As, qui est maintenant un café et une porte d'entrée au parc national.
