Wesel (Néerlandais (obsolète) : Wezel) est une ville historique (fortifiée) et la capitale du district éponyme de Wesel dans l’état fédéral de Rhénanie-du-Nord-Westphalie, en Allemagne. Wesel est située sur le fleuve Rhin, entre la région de la Ruhr et la frontière néerlandaise près de Bocholt. La ville compte 60 750 habitants. Wesel a des liens forts avec les Pays-Bas et son histoire. Pendant la prise de Wesel (1629), la ville a été libérée de l'occupation espagnole. Pendant la guerre de Quatre-Vingts Ans, la ville a accueilli un grand nombre de réfugiés protestants néerlandais fuyant les persécutions espagnoles.
