La Schauenburg, également appelée Scouwenborg, 1143 Scowenburch, 1184 Schowinburc ou 1240 Scoenburc, est la ruine d'un château élevé dans la commune de Schauenburg dans le district de Kassel en Hesse du Nord.
La ruine du château de Schauenburg est située dans le parc naturel de Habichtswald sur un cône de basalte de 499,9 m d'altitude, le Schauenburger Burgberg, qui s'élève dans la Hoofer Pforte comme un prolongement nord des Langenberge, au sud-ouest d'un tronçon supérieur de la Bauna. Elle se trouve entre le village principal de Schauenburg, Hoof, à l'est et le quartier de Schauenburg, Breitenbach, à l'ouest. La grande ville la plus proche est Kassel, dont le centre-ville se situe à environ 12 km à l'est-nord-est.
