Alt Olvenstedt est un quartier situé à la périphérie ouest de la capitale du Land de Saxe-Anhalt, Magdebourg. Il s'étend sur une superficie de 3,2008 km² et compte 3 938 habitants.
À la frontière ouest de l'ancien village d'Olvenstedt commence le district de Börde, au nord et à l'est se trouvent les quartiers de Großer Silberberg et Neu Olvenstedt. La limite sud est formée par la route fédérale 1. La zone bâtie ne couvre qu'1 km², au nord et au sud du quartier se trouvent des terres agricoles de la Börde de Magdebourg. D'ouest en est, le quartier est traversé par la Sülze.
