L'hôtel de ville se trouve du côté nord du marché, au centre de la ville. Du côté sud du marché se trouve l'église protestante Saint-Nicolas.
Le bâtiment est construit dans le style baroque, mais sans les décorations baroques habituelles sur la façade. Du côté sud du bâtiment à deux étages se trouve un portail baroque sobre. Selon une inscription sur le bâtiment, la construction a eu lieu en 1671. Déjà en 1691, l'hôtel de ville devait être reconstruit après un incendie. En 1836, une partie du bâtiment de style historiciste à trois étages a été ajoutée du côté est en tant qu'extension.
