La gare de Fröndenberg est une gare en coin sur les lignes ferroviaires Fröndenberg-Kamen et Letmathe-Fröndenberg ainsi que sur la ligne de la vallée supérieure de la Ruhr. Elle est située au sud de la ville de Fröndenberg, près de la Ruhr.
Avec l'ouverture du tronçon de Schwerte à Arnsberg de la ligne de la vallée supérieure de la Ruhr par la société ferroviaire Bergisch-Märkische, la ville actuelle de Fröndenberg a obtenu sa première connexion ferroviaire en juin 1870. Près du village de Fröndenberg de l'époque, qui représente le centre-ville actuel, une gare a été établie.
