Le Saint-Sauveur est un complexe de pèlerinage au-dessus de Schwäbisch Gmünd. Il se compose de deux chapelles rupestres, qui forment ensemble l’église de pèlerinage de Saint-Sauveur, ainsi que d’un chemin de croix avec plusieurs chapelles. Le chemin de croix est unique dans la forme sous laquelle il existe à Schwäbisch Gmünd.
Même avant 1483, il y avait un lieu de culte sur le Nepperberg, également appelé Eberstein. Cette année-là, le dominicain Felix Fabri d’Ulm a mentionné lors de sa visite au Jakobshöhle à Jérusalem que cela lui rappelait la grotte très similaire mais plus petite, l’Eberstein près de Gmünd en Souabe.
