La gare d'Allendorf est située au sud du village d'Allendorf dans le district de Waldeck-Frankenberg en Hesse du Nord. Elle se trouve à la bifurcation de la ligne de chemin de fer d'Obere Edertalbahn de la ligne Nuttlar–Frankenberg et est classée monument historique.
Le 22 janvier 1906, la construction du dernier tronçon de la ligne Nuttlar–Frankenberg entre Bromskirchen et Frankenberg a commencé. Au cours des travaux, jusqu'à 600 travailleurs étrangers ont été logés à Allendorf. La ligne a été inaugurée le 1er décembre 1908. Le 17 novembre 1910, le premier tronçon de la ligne de chemin de fer partant d'Allendorf vers Bad Berleburg jusqu'à Hatzfeld a été mis en service, et l'ensemble de la ligne a été achevé le 15 août 1911.
