Zepernick est un quartier de la commune brandebourgeoise de Panketal, qui se trouve directement à la périphérie nord-est de Berlin. Dans le cadre de la réforme des communes, Zepernick a été fusionné avec Schwanebeck pour former la nouvelle commune de Panketal le 26 octobre 2003. Panketal comptait 19 167 habitants fin 2008.
On peut déjà retracer des traces de colonisation datant de la période néolithique. La première mention écrite de Zepernick, alors encore Cepernik, date de l'année 1289. Un autre document est l'acte de 1346 du prévôt bernois Gerwinius concernant un don de Zepernick à l'église de Bernau. En 1375, Zepernick était mentionné dans le livre foncier de l'empereur Charles IV avec 52 fermes. En 1466, Benedictus von Hoppenrade a donné ses droits seigneuriaux au chapitre de la cathédrale de Cölln.
