Le château de Groß Leuthen est un château d'eau dans la Spreewald. Il se trouve à Groß Leuthen, sur les rives du lac de Groß Leuthen, à 15 kilomètres au nord-est de Lübben. Dans ses parties les plus anciennes, il date du Moyen Âge. La majeure partie de la structure du bâtiment est composée d'une construction de style Renaissance avec un tour d'escalier et d'une tour résidentielle construite en 1913 dans le style historisant par Bodo Ebhardt.
Leuthen a été mentionné pour la première fois en 1368 avec « Tammo von deme Luthen ». À l'époque, il faisait encore partie de la seigneurie de Lübben. Au cours du Moyen Âge, un domaine seigneurial distinct s'est formé, qui comprenait au XVIe siècle les villages de Groß Leuthen, Bückchen, Dollgen, Guhlen, Klein Leine, Klein Leuthen et Ressen.
