L'Aremberg est souvent visible à des kilomètres de distance et sa forme indique qu'il s'agissait autrefois d'un volcan. Au sommet (623 mètres de hauteur) se trouve une ruine de château. Il est possible de gravir l'Aremberg jusqu'au village éponyme à environ 530 mètres d'altitude. Il y a trois ascensions, dont celle depuis Antweiler dans la vallée de l'Ahr est la variante la plus difficile.
