La cathédrale, joyau de la cité classé Monument Historique, est le point de rassemblement de la population depuis le Vème siècle. La cathédrale actuelle, construite à partir de 1230 sur la base des monuments antérieurs, a subi, avec des destructions importantes, deux cataclysmes majeurs : les guerres de religion et la révolution de 1789 qui laissèrent des traces profondes. La cathédrale est classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO au titre des Chemins de Saint Jacques de Compostelle depuis 1998. Jardin du Chapître avec fouilles archéologiques.
