En 1240, après avoir vaillamment guerroyé, Enguerrand III, Sire de Coucy, rentre au château. Ne sachant par quels mots magiques, il est propulsé au XXIe siècle. Par chance, il y rencontre sa descendante, Marie-Anne de Montmirail, guide à Coucy. Il réalise qu’hélas son château n’est plus et comprend qu’il lui faut rejoindre son époque.
