Lieu de la dernière offensive voulue par le Maréchal Foch les 10 et 11 novembre 1918, c'est ici que fut sonné le cessez-le-feu par le soldat 1ere classe DELALUQUE. La dernière victime officielle de la Grande Guerre, Augustin-Joseph TREBUCHON, tombé 17 minutes avant le cessez-le-feu, est enterré dans le cimetière communal de Vrigne-Meuse.
