Qui si svolse l'ultima offensiva voluta dal maresciallo Foch il 10 e l'11 novembre 1918 e qui fu suonato il cessate il fuoco dal soldato di prima classe DELALUQUE. L'ultima vittima ufficiale della Grande Guerra, Augustin-Joseph TREBUCHON, caduto 17 minuti prima del cessate il fuoco, è sepolto nel cimitero comunale di Vrigne-Meuse.
