Située dans l'ancienne centrale électrique de Bankside. Elle expose la
collection internationale d'art moderne (oeuvres de Bacon, Dalí, Picasso, Matisse, Warhol,…). Le bâtiment est une solide construction industrielle en briques rouges avec une
cheminée de 99 m de hauteur. Elle est reliée à la cathédrale Saint-Paul par le pont piétonnier (Milenium Bridge).
Métro : Blackfriars et Southwark. Pas de photos. Gratuit.
Horaires : 10h-22h (sam.) et 10h-18h le reste.
Elle appartenait à la TATE GALLERY, mais depuis l'année 2000, elle a été divisée en deux : la Tate Modern et la Tate Britain (accueille la collection d'art britannique (s. XVI à XX).
