Glencoe Lochan est une étendue de forêt située juste au nord du village de Glencoe dans les Highlands écossais. Elle a été plantée dans les années 1890 par Donald Alexander Smith, 1er Baron Strathcona et Mont Royal, avec des arbres transplantés du Pacifique Nord-Ouest du Canada.
Après avoir acquis le domaine de Glencoe en 1895, Smith et sa femme, Isabella Sophia Hardisty, ont déménagé du Canada en Écosse. Peu après leur arrivée, Isabella est devenue de plus en plus nostalgique de ses terres ancestrales au Canada. Dans une tentative d'atténuer la dépression de sa femme, Smith a fait planter cette forêt avec soin et l'a offerte comme refuge privé.
