La faille de Bala est une faille géologique orientée SW-NE au pays de Galles qui s'étend au large dans la baie de Cardigan. Dans la zone marine, il s'agit d'une grande faille normale et constitue la structure limitante du bassin de la baie de Cardigan, avec un remplissage d'environ 2 500 mètres du groupe de Lias. À terre, elle est responsable du linéament qui traverse Bala et au sud de Cadair Idris jusqu'à la côte à Tywyn. À son extrémité nord-est, elle se relie à la faille de Llanelidan, orientée de manière similaire.
