Le Hockey Vereniging Weert est la seule association de hockey à Weert. L'association compte plus de 800 membres actifs et est ainsi l'une des plus grandes associations sportives de Weert. Fondée le 13 novembre 1938. L'association est affiliée à la Koninklijke Nederlandse Hockeybond.
"HV Weert" a été fondée le 13 novembre 1938 à Weert, par J. Laenen, H. Linssen, J. Gerrits, P. Geene, D. Zandéé, CH. Gemmeke, L. Linnartz et A. Verhagen. Le président était D. Zandéé. En 1939, le premier match amical a été joué sur le terrain de LSV. Un an plus tard, la deuxième équipe a déjà été formée.
