Hockey Club Weert è l'unico club di hockey a Weert. Il club conta più di 800 membri attivi ed è quindi uno dei più grandi club sportivi di Weert. Fondato il 13 novembre 1938. Il club è affiliato alla Federazione Olandese di Hockey.
"HV Weert" è stato fondato il 13 novembre 1938 a Weert, da J. Laenen, H. Linssen, J. Gerrits, P. Geene, D. Zandéé, CH. Gemmeke, L. Linnartz e A. Verhagen. Il presidente era D. Zandéé. Nel 1939 si è svolta la prima partita amichevole presso il campo LSV. Un anno dopo è stata già formata la seconda squadra.
