Sur un joli domaine, près de Renesse, sur environ 45 hectares de terrain, vous découvrirez "Domaine Moermond". Il a été fondé vers 1229 par Constantijn van Zierikzee.
Les habitants les plus connus sont sans aucun doute Jan van Renesse (un ami personnel de Floris de V.) et Witte van Haamstede. À cause des batailles, le château a été détruit à deux reprises, mais reconstruit à chaque fois.
Après la catastrophe de 1953, une restauration complète en 1955 a ramené le château à son état original. Depuis la construction de la Barrière de Tempête dans l'Oosterschelde, le château est notamment utilisé comme centre de congrès apprécié par le monde des affaires et le gouvernement.
