La station de Heino est située au sud de la localité d'Overijssel, Heino, dans la commune de Raalte. Elle se trouve le long de la ligne de chemin de fer Zwolle - Almelo et a été inaugurée le 1er janvier 1881. Elle est située à environ 10 kilomètres au sud-est de Zwolle.
Après la construction d'un quai latéral à la station, l'ancienne plateforme basse est restée. L'ancien bâtiment de la gare est maintenant entièrement utilisé comme habitation. Près de la gare, au niveau du passage à niveau, se trouve l'ancienne maison de café de la gare.
