Nous roulons à travers la Sibbergrubbe (grubbe est un autre mot pour chemin creux) vers Sibbe. Comme à Geulhen et Bregen Terblijt, il y a aussi ici un labyrinthe de couloirs sous le village. Les maisons en mergel au-dessus proviennent donc du sous-sol !! L'extraction de la pierre à chaux remonte déjà au 15e siècle, le matériau lui-même a environ 70 millions d'années et se compose à 98 % de calcaire qui provient lui-même de milliards d’organismes marins qui vivaient ici dans la mer de calcaire.
