L'église et le couvent dominicains forment un complexe néogothique à Zwolle, sur l'Assendorperstraat, dans le quartier d'Assendorp. L'église est également connue des habitants de Zwolle sous le nom d'église des Pères ou église Thomas. Le couvent dominicain adjacent abrite les Dominicains. La construction de l'église et du couvent, conçus par l'architecte Johannes Kayser, a commencé le 3 mai 1900. La première pierre a été posée ce jour-là par le supérieur général Ludovicus Theissling. La consécration a eu lieu le 12 décembre 1901. Les Dominicains n'étaient plus revenus à Zwolle depuis 1580. Jusqu'en 1965, c'était une église-couvent ouverte, puis elle est devenue le rectorat St. Thomas d'Aquin.
