La Hugterheide est une zone naturelle de 233 ha située près de Maarheeze et Hugten dans la province néerlandaise du Brabant-Septentrional. C'était à l'origine une zone de bruyère avec des sols pauvres, ayant tendance à former des sables mouvants. À partir de 1900, on a commencé à boiser la région, principalement avec des forêts de conifères. Depuis 1979, elle appartient au Paysage de Brabant, qui effectue des travaux d'amincissement tout en préservant les anciens arbres. L'objectif est d'atteindre progressivement une forêt de bouleaux et de chênes plus naturelle, avec de temps en temps des pins sylvestres.
