Le Moulin des Pauvres est l'un des rares moulins à eau restants sur l'Ittersebeek à Neeritter. Ce moulin à augets était utilisé comme moulin à grains.
La plus ancienne mention écrite d'un moulin à cet endroit date de 1280. Un moulin des Pauvres a également été construit en 1535, mais il n'est pas clair s'il se trouvait au même endroit que le moulin actuel. Un document de la municipalité de Neeritter mentionne que le moulin actuel a été construit entre 1684 et 1687. Les fers à mur indiquent l'année 1686. Ce moulin a été fondé par le seigneur du château de Borgitter pour être offert aux pauvres.
