La liaison par ferry entre Millingen aan de Rijn et Pannerden vous mène sur le Rhin à seulement un kilomètre de la tête de Pannerden, où le Rhin se divise en la Waal et le canal Pannerdensch. À environ 5 kilomètres en amont se trouve le point où le Rhin entre dans notre pays au village de Spijk (près de Lobith).
